The Virgin Mary is a pretty important religious figure. Christians believe she conceived Jesus miraculously by the command of the Holy Spirit, and Muslims believe she conceived the Prophet Jesus by the command of God. She is called by some the Queen of Heaven, and the Mother of the Church, but unfortunately two thousand years ago, the word Virgin was extremely vague in its meaning.
What always strikes me kind of odd about religion, is that there are a lot of them, and they all (well, most) claim to be correct. On top of that, once you choose a religion, you then choose an interpretation/denomination (for example Catholicism if Christian, or Sunni if Muslim), and these denominations are again, at odds with each other. For my first post, I thought I would write about one of the most important people in the Christian doctrine – Jesus. The age of Jesus? Unfortunately, no one knows this. In fact, we don’t even know when he was born. Lets have a look at how old we think he is.
